I try to keep my summer make-up minimal with just powder, bronzer, lipstick, eyeliner and mascara...and maybe a little brow help too. Before those, however, I prime my face with this and lashes with this.
I've always had issues with my eyebrows. It is physically impossible to match them due to all of my scars from going hard at playing as a toddler. So, there are literally slits where hair does not grow from stitches' scars. Luckily, I was introduced to this Anastasia 5 Element Brow Kit at Nordstrom last summer. It's definitely still a learning process for me...I'm not great at make-up application. Providing you with just the basics, the Five Item Brow Kit includes these five indispensable brow-shaping tools: Tweezers, Brow Powder Duo, Five Brow Stencils, Mini Duo Brush, and Clear Brow Gel. Basically, you just gently apply the Brow Fix pencil over filled-in or clean brows. For a subtle, defined look, use it after applying brow powder (comes in the kit). Bonus tip: The PENCIL also makes a great invisible lip liner when used prior to applying lip stains. Otherwise, just place one of the brow stencils over your brows, fill it in with the powder, and finish it off with the gel. (Instructions, examples, pictures etc. come with the kit. THANK YOU Anastasia for the dummied down picture demonstration of how to create awesome brows!)
Apparently fuller eyebrows are supposed to make-up look younger. I guess that's How Lucy Hale is able to be casted as a high-schooler. Thank you Aria Montgomery, errrr Lucy Hale, for the major brow envy and inspiration! Any other PLL fans out there? At this point, I'm wondering if maybe WE are "A"...
Today is a simple look. This Old Navy jumpsuit is sold out in the print I'm wearing, but they have it in solid black as well. I also bought it in faded denim. Sadly these Target mule pumps are no longer online, but check stores near you if interested. I also totally recommend wearing these wedges with this look, too! Being that I'm vertically challenged, my first choice is always heels or wedges, but a few of the sandals from yesterday's post would be fun too for those of you who prefer flats.
