New York and DC with Chad...

Posted on
One item on my 30 before 30 list (click if you'd like to read my updates) was to go to New York City and DC with my husband, Chad. We "vacation" hard...as in we come home more tired than when we left, haha. It was my goal to walk EVERYWHERE! I absolutely love the city and its walking accessibility. I also am one of those rare individuals that likes to go to NYC when it's cold. As long as you're prepared with a coat and mittens, you can get some really awesome deals around town. One being $40 tickets to prime seating for Les Miserables! I wouldn't have been as comfortable walking around had we not stopped at the Sorel pop-up store and invested in these boots! They were SO warm and comfy. _DSC4395

Get the boots and some of my other picks below.

The 9/11 Memorial was absolutely breathtaking. What a tribute and honor to the families of those great Americans who lost their lives in the terrorist attack on our beloved country.

We will NEVER forget.

After NYC we hopped on a train and went to visit Chad's grandparents in Pennsylvania. This was quite exciting as I have never traveled via Amtrak! Here's Chad's grandfather showing him his camera equipment from back in the days of film.

Still loving these blue nails...scarf and shirt are from Old Navy and black jeans are from H&M.

Then we hopped back on a train and went to DC, a favorite for both Chad and me. You could say we're a little politics obsessed...
