GAIA empowered women.

The first time I heard  about GAIA (pronounced gi-yuh) was actually at my fitting for the Polish Fashion Show. This collection really spoke to me, and I wanted to share it with you. Amidst the beautiful colors and textures, this collection gives you something much deeper, much more meaningful. I love the mentality of helping those who help themselves... people who do not expect hand-OUTs but appreciate and utilize hand-UPs. Meet the ladies of GAIA here! The story of these brave, strong women will change your life perspective.
GAIA creations are handmade by resettled refugee women in Dallas, TX, using vintage, repurposed, and sustainable materials. Our mission is to empower marginalized women through employment, encouragement, and dedication to their long-term success in our own local communities. Through a living wage and continued training and development, our goal is to lead the women to financial independence and self-sufficiency. Studies show that unlocking a woman's potential can cultivate a brighter future for not only herself and her children, but for the community as a whole. The name "GAIA" – meaning "Goddess of the Earth" – was chosen as a way to honor all women, from the ones who craft GAIA products to those who purchase or receive them.
Respecting the Earth. Rebuilding Lives.
