This past Mother's Day Weekend, I had the pleasure of attending the 10th Annual Frisco Women's League Mother Daughter Tea. "Frisco Women’s League is an independent organization of women dedicated to strengthening our community and each other through volunteering, friendship and fundraising." Despite the absolutely horrible weather, monsoons, and tornado watches, we still had over 800 ladies attend...and dressed to the nines!
2015 is the 10th year for the Frisco Women’s League Mother & Daughter Tea, a popular luncheon for Frisco-area mothers and daughters, which sells out annually. Since 2006, the event has raised over $230,000 for area beneficiaries, including Sci-Tech Discovery, Cityhouse, CASA of Collin County, the Boys and Girls Club of Collin County, Collin County Children’s Advocacy Center, Kenna’s Kids, Heroes for Children, and Hope Park. Frisco Women’s League is honored to announce ManeGait Therapeutic Horsemanship as the 2015 FWL Mother & Daughter Tea Beneficiary. The Tea is held Mother’s Day weekend, making it the perfect way for ladies of all ages to reconnect with their favorite family and friends, while supporting worthy North Texas charities. The event features a tea-menu luncheon, entertainment, silent auction, kids raffle, candy table, crafts and so much more. From 2006-2008, the Mother & Daughter Tea was held at Stonebriar Country Club in Frisco and then moved to the Westin Stonebriar Resort in 2009. Due to overwhelming demand for tickets, in 2010 the Tea moved to the Embassy Suites Hotel in Frisco, where we hosted 400 ladies from the North Texas area. The FWL Mother & Daughter Tea now hosts over 700 ladies at our event. The 2015 Mother & Daughter Tea, “Tea in the Heart of Texas”, will take place on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Frisco from 12:00pm – 2:00pm. --Frisco Women's LeagueThis is my second year in serving with FWL. It has enriched my life in countless ways. I look forward to serving my community in the future with this wonderful organization. How do you serve your community?
